Mokuhanga Magic takes part in Create with Kokoro – A celebration of Japanese craftsmanship, a small cultural day in Ghent organised by Kokoro Creations, where you can see, try and learn about Japanese crafts.

What we bring

At our table you can get acquainted with Japanese woodblock printing:

• a woodblock print to look at up close
• some of our tools — carving knives, brushes, a baren — so you can feel how mokuhanga works
• our brand-new flyer with information about our workshops and projects

We’ll also pop in ourselves at some point during the afternoon — so who knows, you might bump into us. Feel free to drop by, ask questions and have a chat!

Also at the event

The afternoon programme, The Kokoro Experience, is an open, self-paced visit. Besides mokuhanga you can discover Sashiko, Kumihimo, Temari and Mizuhiki, Kintsugi (Kintsugi Academy), Monogatari products and a Japanese Tea Corner. You can even add a few stitches to the shared Sashiko artwork Threads of Friendship.
